How Dimonty Alloys collects, uses and protects your personal information.
Last updated: July 2026. Dimonty Wheel Refurbishment Specialists (“Dimonty Alloys”, “we”, “us”), Rookery Fold, Mossy Lea Road, Standish, WN6 9RB.
1. Who we are
Dimonty Alloys is an alloy wheel refurbishment and tyre business based in Standish, Wigan. We are the “data controller” for the personal information you give us. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at info@dimonty.co.uk or 01257 818456.
2. What we collect
- Contact details — your name, phone number and email address.
- Job details — your vehicle/registration, wheel size and finish, the service you want, and anything you tell us about your enquiry (including photos you send).
- Quote & booking details — the quote we generate, the slot you request and any reference number.
- Technical data — basic, anonymous usage statistics (e.g. pages visited) collected by our privacy-friendly analytics. This does not identify you.
We only collect what you choose to give us through our forms, or when you call, WhatsApp or email us.
3. Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To prepare and send your quote and respond to your enquiry — on the basis of taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and your consent.
- To arrange and carry out the work, including contacting you about your booking, deposit and vehicle — to perform our contract with you.
- To contact you by phone, SMS and email about your enquiry or booking — with your consent, given when you submit a form.
- To run and improve our website and keep it secure — our legitimate interest in operating the business.
We do not use your details for unrelated marketing without asking you first, and we never sell your data.
4. Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted service providers who process data on our behalf, under contract and only on our instructions:
- Our CRM (GoHighLevel) — stores your enquiry/booking so we can manage and follow it up.
- Our tyre supply platform (CAM Systems) — used to look up live tyre stock and, where you order tyres, to place the order.
- Our website host (Vercel) — serves the website and processes form submissions.
- Email & communications providers — to send and receive messages with you.
- Analytics & advertising (with your consent) — Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, used only if you accept cookies (see section 5).
We may also disclose information if required by law. We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.
5. Cookies & analytics
We use essential cookies needed to make the site work securely, and privacy-friendly usage statistics that don’t identify you. With your consent, we also use analytics and advertising cookies — Google Analytics (to understand how the site is used), Microsoft Clarity (anonymous heatmaps and session replays to see how the site is used and improve it), and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel (to measure and improve our ads).
With your consent we also use our CRM’s visitor-tracking (GoHighLevel) to link website visits to your enquiry so we can follow it up and understand where leads come from.
These non-essential cookies only load if you click “Accept” on our cookie banner. If you click “Reject”, they are not set. You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser, which will show the banner again.
6. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and job records for as long as needed to provide the service, honour any guarantee, and meet our legal and accounting obligations — typically up to 6 years for records relating to work carried out. Enquiries that don’t lead to work are kept for a shorter period and then deleted.
7. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; ask us to correct it; ask us to delete it; object to or restrict how we use it; and ask for a copy in a portable format. You can also withdraw consent to being contacted at any time.
To exercise any of these, email info@dimonty.co.uk and we’ll respond within one month.
8. Security
Your data is transmitted over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and held by reputable providers with appropriate security measures. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
9. Complaints
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the UK regulator, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page with the date it was last updated.
